Sim WAR explained

A game score inspired by wins above replacement.

Sim WAR is WAR Maxxing’s deterministic estimate of the value of the player you create. It is not an official MLB statistic or a claim about a real player’s historical WAR.

For hitters

Contact, power, discipline, batted-ball quality, speed, baserunning, defense, arm, durability, and position shape the simulated season.

For pitchers

Arsenal depth, strikeouts, walks, home-run prevention, stamina, and contact management combine into a workload-adjusted projection.

Same build, same score

Completed builds are deterministic, so the exact same selections produce the same Sim WAR result under the same scoring version.
